The U Turn Capital of the World

I left Indianapolis 3 weeks ago, and I’ve got to be honest. I wasn’t prepared for how different south Florida would be. When I moved to Indianapolis in 1987 it was different, but not by much. Only 180 some odd miles from my hometown. There were some southern accents that were….surprising, but all in all the same.

This is another world. Everything looks different (I do love palm trees), smells different and I’ve never lived anywhere that had Panther crossing signs. Not kidding.

In the two weeks I’ve been here I’ve seen more U turns than I saw in the 30 years I lived in Indianapolis. This may be because of the abundance of long separated highways. Cars do them, box trucks, semis; everyone does U turns. It’s a little weird.

All the boxes and equipment have been moved into the new retail location. It’s going to take a bit more time before all that is sorted out, but I’ve filled the orders that came in while everything was in transit. I should have labeled the boxes a bit better. That would have saved me quite a bit of searching.

I’m already hearing stories about the temps “up there” taking a dive. I can’t say I’m going to miss that all that much.

I can’t say it enough, thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years. I’ll miss seeing you, but if you ever find yourself at the beach just give me a call.

The new shop address is:

500 11th St. North Naples FL 34102.

I was going to change the phone number, but there aren’t any google voice numbers available for this area. Who pays attention to area codes anymore anyway?

I’m still trying to get at least one YouTube video out per week. You can watch those here. There appears to be some decent riding from the new shop. I’m looking forward to getting some of that recorded.

See you soon,

Chris
