The Truth Comes Out

I came across an interesting story posted in Momentum magazine. It seems that, low and behold, the bicycle really is the preferred mode of travel for a great number of people. They just feel that the infrastructure is lacking (i.e. unsafe). The poll was conducted by an honest to god polling firm. One that you’ve likely heard of. All you need to do is build the infrastructure and people will use it. Now where have I heard that before? If you’d like to read the story follow this link.

A quote I’m pondering

”The idea is to die young as late as possible” Ashley Montagu (author of ”The Elephant Man” among other things) is credited with saying this. I don’t know what the original context was, but I’m here for it. Keep moving, keep playing and stay Sensible yet Adventurous!

Post Campout Markdowns!

The Swift Campout has come, and gone. I still have a pretty good selection of Campout related gear, and I’ve put it on sale! Why not treat yourself to one of the best bicycle bags you can buy? See the deals here.

What I’m reading

The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristo by Tom Reiss

The story of Alex Dumas father of Alexandre Dumas. Despite being born into slavery he rose to the rank of general during the height of the French Revolution. Fascinating stuff. (affiliate link)

A question

Do you still use hand signals when you ride your bicycle? It could mean signals to motorists, and/or hand signals to your riding partners. You can send your answers, and any other kind words to info@thepsychicderailleur.com

Thank you for reading. I hope you’re well.

Chris
