Florida Man

I’ve lived in Florida for 7 months. That seems quite hard for me to believe. And while I wouldn’t say I’m completely acclimated, I am starting to find my place.

What amazes me is the sheer amount of wild places down here. Vast tracts of land once decimated for it’s resources now set aside as preserves, and state as well as national parks.

I did a bike ride through part of one of these preserves. Should I say it was magical? Why not. It was magical. Of course, I took cameras along. If you haven’t seen it, the video is here. You can see me almost get taken out by a pterodactyl.

It’s not quite new news, but I’ve been lucky enough to partner with Blue Lug. If you aren’t familiar, Blue Lug is a bike shop in Tokyo that makes a lot of the products that they sell in their shops. I’m very excited to be able to bring these items to my customers here in the US. See the goodness here!

Some people say that I’ve moved to a state where I can ride all year long. I’m sure some people do, but it’s more accurate to say that I’ve moved to a state where the riding seasons are flipped. The winter months are preferable for outdoors activities. The weather tends to be cooler, and dry. The summer months are hot, and very wet. I’m not complaining. I was happy to leave my snow shovel in Indianapolis.

I do hope you’re all well. Thank you for reading.

Chris
